It’s that time of year again where the ghosts and goblins come out to play, but don’t forget about all the cute pumpkins running around too. Every year in Los Angeles people from all walks of life come to see the incredible sights that are on display at “The RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns”. The Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns is “a unique all-ages night-time Halloween extravaganza with more than 5,000 hand-carved jack o’lanterns created by professional artists and sculptors are arranged in artful displays throughout a 1/3-mile scenic trail”. For the entire month of October, people visit this elaborate display, and I wanted so much to contribute to the festivities so I decided to create a nail art inspired by all the pumpkins at the Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns. Using three of my favorite Halloween colors: Paparazzi, Zuma Beach Bum, and The ‘OC’ I painted an all black manicure with a pumpkin-like accent nail. Show off your Halloween spirit this month with spook-tacular nails!
Step 1: Apply one coat our Nail Perfecter as the perfect base coat. Let dry for 1-2 min.
Step 2: Apply two coats of our black, Paparazzi to all nails except the accent nail. Let dry for 2-3 min. On the accent nail apply two coats of Zuma Beach Bum, and let dry for 2-3 min.
Step 3: Having Zuma Beach Bum and The ‘OC’ ready, apply two decent sized dots of each color to accent nail.
Step 4: Using a small plastic bag, dab the accent nail to blend the dots into a tie-dye effect.
