Lauren Taylor: Fashion Stylist

Tell us a little about yourself, and what you do? I was born and raised in Longview, Texas and moved to NYC shortly after college. It was there that I fell in love with fashion even more and decided to move to LA to pursue my career being a fashion stylist. Currently I style celebrities as well as fashion editorials. What’s your favorite part about your “job”? and What is your least favorite? My favorite part of my job is seeing an image I have for a client come to life. Its an amazing experience to brainstorm and idea and really see it executed the way I thought...and of course the client being happy with the results as well! My least favorite of course are returns. It take so much prep to get the items needed for a shoot or event and that in itself is exhausting so when all you want to do is nap after a project but have 5 stores to return can be a little...challenging lol If you could live anywhere in the world…where would you live and why? Definitely anywhere in Italy. It’s one of the most beautiful countries I've ever visited and loved everything from the food, culture and fashion. What is your guilty pleasure? Definitely pizza and wine (yeah I’m THAT girl lol) What places are on your travel bucket list? I have so many lol Morrocco, Istanbul, and Santorini are the frontliners What accessories can you not leave the house without? My college class ring from Texas A&M...its a reminder that my Mom has worked hard to provide for me and its a visual motivator to keep grinding so I can make her proud What is trending in the fashion world right now? Oversized everything is having a moment as well as athletic wear for street style. I'm sure you've seen windbreakers paired with a stiletto bootie at some point on your timeline lol What is one piece of advice you would give to anyone starting out in your line of work? Never give up and just to start anywhere. The resources are out there. There are always photographers and models so assemble a team and shoot shoot shoot.
